How to Register for Classes
Registering for Jack Garfein studio classes
The first step in applying to any of the classes at the Jack Garfein Studio is to fill out the Registration Form. Make sure to provide all the requested information. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Admissions Interview with Jack Garfein
Upon receiving a registration form, one of the studio team members will schedule an interview with the applicant via email. The interview will be conducted by Jack Garfein. The interview is not an audition, but rather an opportunity for Mr. Garfein to determine the professional level of the applicant and his or her artistic needs. It is also a starting point in selecting future scenes and other working materials, should the applicant be accepted into the class.
If the applicant has applied for a private class, no interview is required. A private class will be scheduled at this time, and the tuition payment will be collected.
Admissions Decision and Payment
If Mr. Garfein approves the applicant, he or she should be ready to make a tuition payment. The following breakdown applies:
- Intensive Course. The fee for Level 1 must be paid on the day of the interview. If the entire Intensive Course is taken, the remainder of the tuition amount must be paid no later than one week before the beginning of the course. To register for Level 2, students must complete or be in the process of completing Level 1. The fee for Level 2 must be paid no later that one week before the beginning of the classes. To register for Levels 3 and 4, students must complete Levels 1 and 2 or be in the process of completing Level 2. The fee for Levels 3 and 4 must be paid no later than one week before the beginning of the classes. The fee for the optional scene filming must be paid at the beginning of the last week of the Intensive Course.
- Studio Workshop. The three-month tuition must be paid no later than one week before the beginning of the first class.
- Shakespeare Workshop. The tuition fee must be paid no later that one week before the beginning of the workshop.
